In the 10‑minute upload, Singh explained that her fasting blood glucose had jumped to dangerous levels. “My sugar has rapidly increased, especially the fasting sugars,” the actress said. “They’re never this high, and I’m going to be scolded by the doctor today.”
She blamed the rise on a mix of stress and a short‑term lapse in her strict diet. Singh, who has long followed a millet‑based meal plan that excludes rotis and rice, confessed to eating three rotis that day because she was angry and rebellious. “I’m so worried it might affect my baby,” she added. Her husband, Haresh Limbaachiya, was in Dubai for work, which left her feeling “lost and confused.”
After a visit to the doctor, Singh confirmed that her HbA1c – the average sugar measurement used to track long‑term control – climbed from a healthy 4.5 to a diabetic‑range 6.7. The doctor admonished her and urged stricter adherence to her eating plan. “I eat a lot of millet, avoid carbs, so why is it so high?” she asked. Singh told viewers she had previously dealt with borderline diabetes before her first pregnancy, but a weight‑loss makeover and disciplined lifestyle had helped her stay healthy.
Her partner returned from Dubai late, calming Singh’s nerves and reassuring her that everything would be fine. He mentioned that the nagging anger had forced her to ignore her eating plan – a mistake that caused her blood sugar to rise. Singh laughed that her son Gola, a toddler, would accompany her to the doctor next time. “When a man is by your side, you feel secure,” she joked, noting Gola as her best friend too.
The couple announced their second pregnancy in September while vacationing in Switzerland. They already have a 3‑year‑old son, Lakshya.
