Acclaimed Bollywood star Akshay Kumar surprised fans when he shared a behind‑the‑scenes story on the chat show “Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai.” He revealed that the famous actress Karisma Kapoor was not only his first heroine but also his first choreographer.
“When I danced for the first time, she choreographed me,” Akshay told the audience.
“We had no idea what the camera would do, so I asked Karisma to show me a few steps. That’s how she became my first dance director.”
Karisma, who grew up in a family of musicians, remembered that moment as the start of both of their careers. They went on to star together in a string of hits—“Mere Jeevan Saathi,” “Dil To Pagal Hai,” “Deedar,” and “Jaanwar,” among others.
The actor also used the platform to tease his upcoming films. Akshay confirmed he will soon appear in Priyadarshan’s “Haiwaan,” sharing the screen again with Saif Ali Khan after almost 17 years. A behind‑the‑scenes clip on Instagram showed Akshay, Saif, and the director laughing together as they kicked off production.
“We’re all a little mischievous… some are saints on the outside, others inside,” Akshay mused. “Happy to be working with Saif again. Let’s bring the haiwaniyat to life!” He added that he’s also collaborating with Priyadarshan on another project, “Bhoot Bangla.”
