Commentator Rishank Devadiga couldn’t stop raving about Tamil Thalaivas raider Arjun Deshwal’s standout performance against his old team, the Jaipur Pink Panthers. “We talked about this matchup before the game—Arjun facing his former side in front of their home crowd,” Rishank said on JioStar. “He dominated with his raids, and it was mesmerizing. Even Jaipur Pink Panthers owner Abhishek Bachchan gave him props, congratulating coach Sanjeev Baliyan on the respect shown. Arjun truly earned it.”

Rishank also spotlighted Tamil Thalaivas’ rock-solid defense as they gear up for the Chennai leg. “Their defenders stepped up big time, especially with home fans waiting,” he noted. In the first half, Nitesh Kumar owned the mat with his tackles. Then, in the second half, Suresh Jadhav added five tackle points, while Nitesh wrapped up with seven. “When the defense clicks like that, it gives raid star Arjun the boost he needs to rack up points—just like we saw against the Pink Panthers.”

Over in the Bengal Warriorz vs. Patna Pirates clash, Rishank praised captain Devank Dalal’s game-changing raids. “Devank never goes out of form,” he said. “No matter the defense, he finds a way to score. Both teams’ raiders battled hard, but Devank kept pushing, raiding non-stop, and powered his team to victory.”

The match started tough for Bengal, with Patna’s Maninder Singh grabbing 12 raid points from 15 attempts and Ayan Lohchab adding 15 from 18. They forced early errors from Bengal’s defense. But Bengal’s Ashish Malik turned things around. “In just his third season, Ashish showed real maturity,” Rishank explained. “He went for bold tackles on Maninder and Ayan right from the start, building pressure. That defensive spark sealed the hard-fought win for Bengal Warriorz.”

As Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 heats up, these Jaipur matches highlighted top raiders and defenses that could shape the rest of the tournament.
