Andhra Pradesh’s top leaders are rallying around Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan as he battles a stubborn viral fever. Governor S. Abdul Nazeer and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu both shared warm wishes for his speedy recovery on social media, highlighting the actor-politician’s key role in the state.

Pawan Kalyan, the Jana Sena Party leader and star of the hit film They Call Him OG, has been fighting the fever for four days now. It started after a rain-drenched pre-release event for his movie in Hyderabad on Sunday. Despite attending the Andhra Pradesh Assembly session the next day, his condition worsened, leading to severe coughing and ongoing discomfort.

The Governor posted on X: "I wish Sri K. Pawan Kalyan garu, Dy. Chief Minister, suffering from severe viral fever, a full and speedy recovery." Pawan Kalyan quickly replied, thanking him for the "kind wishes and concern."

Chief Minister Naidu echoed the sentiment, writing: "Wishing Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Pawan Kalyan Garu, a full and speedy recovery. May he return in good health to continue serving the people of Andhra Pradesh, and to enjoy the well-earned success of OG, which is receiving widespread appreciation." Pawan Kalyan responded gratefully, noting his appreciation for the "thoughtful words" and the shoutout to OG‘s success.

Human Resources Development Minister Nara Lokesh joined in, posting: "May he regain strength and good health soon, to continue inspiring us with his service to Andhra Pradesh, and to celebrate the outstanding success of OG with his fans and well-wishers."

The action-packed OG, simply titled They Call Him OG, hit theaters on September 25 and has already won big praise from fans. Despite the illness, Pawan Kalyan has been resting on doctors’ advice while handling official meetings and political duties through video calls.

His team treated him in Mangalagiri for the past few days, but the fever hasn’t let up. Now, following medical advice, he’s heading to Hyderabad for further tests to tackle the persistent symptoms. Fans and supporters across Andhra Pradesh are sending their best, hoping for a quick comeback from the beloved leader and superstar.
