In Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed his gratitude to Modi for sanctioning four new Kendriya Vidyalayas in the state. Naidu shared the exciting news on X, highlighting how these schools will benefit local communities. The new KVs will open in Mangasamudram in Chittoor district, Bairuganipalle in Kuppam Mandal of Chittoor, Palasa in Srikakulam, and Sakhamuru in Amaravati. “This move will strengthen education infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh,” Naidu noted.

Over in Telangana, Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy also thanked Modi and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for approving four more Kendriya Vidyalayas. Reddy pointed out that the central government has supported Telangana’s education sector steadily for the past 11 years. These new schools will join the existing 35 KVs, reaching even remote areas.

The fresh additions in Telangana include sites at the Bhadradri Kothagudem district headquarters, Mulugu district headquarters, Jagityala district in Jagityala Rural Mandal-Chelgal, and Wanaparthi district in Nagavaram Sivar. Reddy emphasized that Bhadradri Kothagudem and Mulugu have faced challenges from long-standing left-wing extremism. “These Kendriya Vidyalayas will open doors for children in these areas, helping them build brighter futures,” he said.

The central government’s commitment to education in Telangana goes further. It has allocated over Rs 400 crore for more than 800 PM-SHRI Schools in the last two years—the highest funding in India. Plus, there’s Rs 2,000 crore under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan and about Rs 1,000 crore for the Sammakka Sarakka Central Tribal University in Mulugu.

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay echoed the appreciation, calling the approval a major step forward for quality education in Telangana’s far-flung spots. With these developments, more students now have access to top-notch primary and secondary schooling through the Kendriya Vidyalaya network.
