Chhattisgarh Police is bringing law enforcement right to the doorsteps of people in Narayanpur district with a fresh launch of Mobile Police Stations. Starting October 1 and running through October 31, 2025, this move aims to boost grassroots policing and build stronger trust between cops and locals amid an ongoing push to wipe out Maoist influence.
Superintendent of Police Robinson Guria, along with Additional SP Akshay Sabdra and Additional SP for Naxal Operations Ajay Kumar, is leading the charge. They’re deploying these mobile units to key market spots on specific dates, so residents can file complaints, get help, or chat with officers without trekking to far-off police stations. It’s more than just a spot to report issues—these stations double as awareness centers too.
At each stop, officers will share tips on preventing cybercrime, staying safe on the roads, stopping crime before it starts, and using the Abhivyakti App for easy online interactions with police. SP Guria highlighted a big focus on warning folks about the risks of Maoism and getting the community involved in rooting it out for good.
The campaign kicked off on October 1 at Orchha-Khas market and will hit other bustling spots like Dhaurai, Benur, Kokodi, Edka, Farsgaon, Kukradjhor, Jharaghati, Kohkameta, Bharanda, Kurusnar, Chhotedongar, Sonpur, and Kutul. Teams picked these locations to reach as many people as possible during peak market days.
Guria has instructed all station house officers to treat complaints from these mobile units as top priority, promising quick fixes to show that police aren’t just rule enforcers—they’re true partners in keeping the community safe and thriving.
This effort marks a smart shift in anti-Naxal strategy for Chhattisgarh, mixing on-the-go services, tech tools like the Abhivyakti App, and direct community talks to fight insurgency head-on. As Narayanpur dives into this proactive policing model, it could inspire other Maoist-hit areas across India. Organizers hope the month-long drive will spark lasting confidence in local law enforcement, helping pave the road to peace and growth in the district.
