Residents of New Delhi had a busy day at a recent Suvidha Camp organized by the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC). During this event, officials received a total of 95 complaints and issues from the public. The camp was designed to help residents get information, solve problems, and get their grievances addressed quickly.
At the camp, residents had face-to-face meetings with officials from various NDMC departments, making it easier to find solutions. Some complaints were about policies, and officials explained the possible timelines for resolving these issues. The main concerns came from areas like Personnel, Civil Engineering, Horticulture, Public Health, Enforcement, Commercial, Tax, and Estate departments.
In addition to fixing problems, hundreds of residents visited the camp to learn more about NDMC civic services. Over 100 NDMC officials from 30 different departments were present at the camp, working directly with the public. Each department had help desks, supervised by department heads, to ensure fast and effective service.
To make grievance redressal even easier, NDMC launched the “Jan Suvidha Portal.” This online platform allows residents to file complaints, track their progress, and give feedback—all from the comfort of their homes. The portal is accessible through the NDMC website, and grievances can also be shared via social media platforms.
Apart from the camp and digital services, NDMC also launched a new educational initiative called “Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi,” benefiting over 28,000 students in NDMC schools. This project aims to improve education and instill strong values in young students. On Teachers’ Day, NDMC celebrated and honored 15 teachers at the Talkatora Stadium.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta highlighted the important role of teachers, calling them “the true painters of our nation.” She emphasized that the values teachers teach today will shape India’s future. She also compared teachers to gardeners who nurture seedlings into mighty trees—strong and responsible citizens of tomorrow.
NDMC continues to work hard to serve residents better through innovative programs, digital tools, and community initiatives, all aimed at making city life easier and more efficient.
