New Delhi, Nov 23 (LatestNewsX) – In an effort to keep a wedding on schedule, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel arranged for the shift of a planned government event in Jamnagar. The change was prompted by the family of Sanjana Parmar, whose nuptials were set for Sunday at City Town Hall. The wedding was nearly ready to begin when the family discovered that the Chief Minister would be visiting Jamnagar on the following day, November 24, and that a public ceremony was already scheduled for the same venue. With security and police presence tightening in advance of the visit, the family worried that heightened protocols could interfere with their ceremony. They brought the concern to the Chief Minister’s office, and he promptly ordered the relocation of his own program. “The venue of our programme shall be changed, the family’s concern is our concern,” the Chief Minister told officials. Brijesh Parmar, the bride’s uncle, expressed how relieved the family felt after the decision. “Securing a new venue during the wedding season, informing guests, and arranging everything afresh was difficult—but one reassuring call from the Chief Minister allowed us to sleep peacefully that night,” he said. The CM also spoke directly with the family, assuring them that the wedding could proceed in the original location without disruption. With the adjustment, the marriage went ahead as planned, avoiding the logistical nightmare a last‑minute venue switch would have triggered during this peak marriage period. The episode underscores a willingness among authorities to adapt to citizens’ needs when public duties clash with private life. rs/svn
