In Jabalpur on November 1, Dattatreya Hosabale, a top RSS officer, announced that the organization has added 10,000 new sites for its work since its last meeting in October 2024.
The RSS now runs 87,398 daily meetings—called shakhas—at 55,052 locations, more than 15,000 spots added compared with last year. The network also hosts 32,362 weekly gatherings, bringing the total number of activity centres to 87,414.
Hosabale shared these figures while speaking at the closing session of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s “Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal Baithak” in Madhya Pradesh. He highlighted the party’s nationwide programs carried out during the Vijayadashami festival, as part of the Sangh’s centenary year (2025).
He said efforts have expanded RSS work into tribal areas and among workers, farmers, students, entrepreneurs, and professionals. The organization plans to launch Hindu gatherings (sammelans) in villages and sub‑districts, with an estimated 45,000 rural and 35,000 urban venues. Regional joint discussions (Samaajik Sadbhav Baithaks) will be staged at block and city levels, while “Prabuddha Nagarik” talks will take place in district headquarters.
Hosabale noted that not every member needs to join a shakha, but everyone should contribute to social harmony, unity and national progress in their own field. He stressed that the purpose of the centenary programs is to awaken inner strength, foster awareness and inspire a sense of collective dedication, rather than just growing organizational numbers.
