Talking about the new National Education Policy (NEP), the Governor praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of transforming education to build a stronger India. He highlighted how youth-focused initiatives, like special programs on Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, aim to inspire the country’s young generation.

Patel also reinforced India’s rich Guru-Shishya tradition, inspiring teachers to nurture discipline and values rooted in the teachings of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna. He encouraged teachers to be role models who shape the next generation with cultural and moral strength.

On this special day, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced some good news for teachers. Around 1.5 lakh teachers in the state—including primary, secondary, and assistant teachers—will soon receive the fourth time-scale pay benefit, starting from the 2025-26 financial year. The government estimates this move will cost about Rs. 117 crore.

Additionally, the Chief Minister announced that Rs. 330 crore has been transferred to 55 lakh students to help cover the cost of school uniforms, making education more affordable for families.

Yadav also highlighted the establishment of Sandipani Schools in the state and shared that government schools are performing better than private schools for the first time in 15 years. He emphasized that education helps develop not just knowledge but also strong values, citing legendary teachers like Guru Vishwamitra and Guru Sandipani, who guided Lord Ram and Lord Krishna respectively.

Both Governor Patel and Chief Minister Yadav paid tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, India’s former President and renowned philosopher, acknowledging his contribution to education and literature, which continues to inspire millions.
