Lucknow, Oct 5 – In a sharp on‑air jab, Congress MP Surendra Rajput slammed Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal for refusing to team up with the Congress in Goa’s upcoming assembly elections. Rajput called AAP a “B‑team” for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and said the party had betrayed voters by forming new “formulas.”
He accused Kejriwal of selling out the Anna movement, India Against Corruption, and even aiding Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) groups with slick schemes. “They act as BJP’s B‑team,” Rajput said.
Speaking to , Rajput also rejected any coalition, asking “Who will contest the elections with you? Congress will contest alone.”
On the Goa vote, he urged the Election Commission to conduct free and fair elections, echoing opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). “If the process isn’t clean, the Commission and BJP must answer,” Rajput warned.
The MP mocked BJP’s “Sujhaav Yatra” in Bihar, saying the party only puts on rallies without real policy. He also dismissed statements from Congress MP Rahul Gandhi about the RSS, claiming it was BJP leaders alone who truly controlled the narrative.
The comments come ahead of the upcoming Bihar polls, where both Congress and RJD are calling for transparency and clean elections.
