Andrew Wolfe, an alumnus of Musselman High School, has been confirmed as one of the two West Virginia National Guard soldiers who were shot in a violent ambush this week. The attack, which took place near the Farragut West Metro Station in Northwest DC, was carried out by a 29‑year‑old Afghan national named Rahmanullah Lakanwal, who allegedly fired at Wolfe and a female guard in the same burst.
Wolfe is currently in critical condition after surgery, and the identity of the wounded woman remains unknown. Herr, as his former school shared in a Facebook post, “Please keep Andrew, his family, and all those affected in your thoughts. We will share updates as we receive them.”
