India’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya is on the brink of a big milestone in the Asia Cup final against Pakistan today. Just two more wickets, and he’ll hit 100 T20 international scalps, becoming only the second Indian bowler to reach that mark after Arshdeep Singh’s 101.

Pandya has grabbed 98 wickets in 120 T20Is so far, with an average of 26.58 and an economy rate of 8.22. His best figures? An impressive 4/16. In this Asia Cup tournament, he’s snagged four wickets across six matches, averaging 30.00 at 8.57 economy, with a top spell of 1/7.

For context, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan leads the T20I wicket charts with 173 in 103 games, boasting an average of 13.93 and a stunning best of 5/3. He’s notched eight four-wicket hauls and two five-fors along the way.

The stage is set for an epic showdown at Dubai International Stadium on September 28, as India takes on arch-rivals Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 final. This marks the first time ever these two teams will clash in an Asia Cup final during the tournament’s 41-year history, ramping up the thrill.

India has already gotten the better of Pakistan twice this year in the Asia Cup. In the group stage, they cruised to a seven-wicket win, powered by Kuldeep Yadav’s match-winning 3/18 spell. Then in the Super 4s, Abhishek Sharma’s explosive 74 off 39 balls tore apart Pakistan’s bowling, leading to another six-wicket victory.
