Team India is gearing up intensely for their high-stakes Group A match against rivals Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025. In a focused training session in Dubai, players honed their skills and chatted tactics to stay sharp for the big showdown.

The session kicked off with easy warm-ups and stretches, then the nets buzzed with action. Young fast bowler Harshit Rana huddled with left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh, while spinner Varun Chakravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav fine-tuned their bowling rhythms. Hardik Pandya charged in with full energy, later discussing strategies with bowling coach Morne Morkel—likely targeting Pakistan’s strong batting lineup. Over at the batting end, opener Shubman Gill smashed elegant shots, looking in top form.

Fielding drills got everyone moving, with Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh, Shubman Gill, Shivam Dube, Rinku Singh, Hardik Pandya, Abhishek Sharma, and Tilak Varma diving and throwing with real grit. That kind of hustle will make all the difference in a tense India vs Pakistan clash.

Head coach Gautam Gambhir caught up with wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson, sparking curiosity about his role after he didn’t open against UAE in the opener. Captain Suryakumar Yadav and some teammates even scouted Afghanistan’s practice from the sidelines to pick up tips.

India kicked off the Asia Cup 2025 on a high note, dismantling UAE for just 57 runs in 13.1 overs. Only opener Alishan Sharafu (22) and captain Muhammed Waseem (19) reached double digits. Abhishek Sharma and vice-captain Shubman Gill tore into the bowling, chasing the target in a breezy 4.3 overs with just one wicket down.

The full Team India squad for Asia Cup 2025 includes: Suryakumar Yadav (Captain), Shubman Gill (Vice-Captain), Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, Jitesh Sharma (WK), Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakravarthy, Kuldeep Yadav, Sanju Samson (WK), Harshit Rana, and Rinku Singh.

Reserves: Prasidh Krishna, Washington Sundar, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
