The action starts with Round Robin 1 from October 2 to 6. All six teams—Prithviraj Yodhas from Delhi, Mighty Marathas from Maharashtra, Kakatiya Knights from Telangana, Rajputana Royals from Rajasthan, Chero Archers from Jharkhand, and Chola Chiefs from Tamil Nadu—will battle it out in late-evening matches at the Yamuna Sports Complex.
Things heat up in Round Robin 2 from October 7 to 11, where teams face off multiple times against each opponent. The top performers then head into the knockout rounds on October 12, with semi-finals and the grand final crowning the first APL champion.
Fans can expect a star-studded lineup. Indian archery heroes like Deepika Kumari and Jyothi Surekha Vennam will compete alongside global talents, including world No. 1 compound archers Mike Schloesser and Andrea Becerra, plus Olympians Brady Ellison and Alejandra Valencia. Launching on Dussehra adds a special cultural touch. APL Director Anil Kamineni shared his excitement: “There couldn’t be a more symbolic day than Dussehra to launch the APL, a festival rooted in Indian culture.
