Indian Railways is rolling out seven new trains in Bihar starting Monday, boosting travel options for folks in this key election state. Among them, three shiny Amrit Bharat Express services will connect Bihar to big cities across India, while four others focus on linking up towns and cities right within the state.
These additions promise smoother rides and stronger rail ties for Bihar passengers. You’ll see better links to places in Telangana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and even Delhi. The East Central Railway zone will handle all operations and upkeep for these fresh routes.
First up, the intra-Bihar trains to make daily commutes easier:
-
Danapur–Jhajha Fast Passenger (Train No 53204/53203): This one packs 22 LHB coaches and runs six days a week, skipping Sundays from October 1. It stops at 22 spots, like Patna, Bakhtiyarpur, Barh, Mokama, and Jamui—perfect for quick trips across central Bihar.
-
Patna–Buxar Fast Passenger (Train No 53201/53202): With 20 ICF coaches, it also chugs along six days a week, no Sundays. Expect stops at Danapur, Ara, and Raghunathpur, helping travelers zip between Patna and western Bihar hubs.
-
Patna–Nawada DEMU Passenger (Train No 75272/75271): Running six days except Sundays, this DEMU train hits 21 stations including Sheikhpura, Barbigha, and Bihar Sharif. It’s a game-changer for folks heading south from Patna.
-
