Delhi Police Cracks Down on Gang Violence: Major Raids Target Notorious Gangs in Delhi-NCR

Delhi Police swung into action with a massive crackdown on organised crime Thursday night, raiding 58 spots across Delhi and nearby areas like Sonipat, Sampla, Jhajjar, Rohtak, and Bahadurgarh. The goal? To smash gang violence and take down hideouts of some of the city’s most feared underworld groups.

In a well-planned operation that kicked off on September 18 evening, police teams targeted gangs linked to big names like Kala Jathedi, Jitender alias Gogi, Neeraj Bawana, Rajesh Bawana, Tillu Tajpuriya, Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu, and Nettu Dabodha. They nabbed 36 suspects in total, with six key arrests that hit these notorious gangs hard.

Police registered seven cases under the Arms Act as they seized weapons, cash, and valuables from the raids. Among the arrested were Shaktiman (34, from Khera Khurd), Vedpal (55, from Tikri Khurd, Narela), Prem Singh Sehrawat (67, from Bawana), Naveen (30, from Karala), Ankit alias Vishal (25, from Karala), and Hariom alias Ankit alias Akki (25, from Karala).

The Outer North District Police led the charge, hitting about 39 locations. In one big bust, they arrested the father of gangster Neeraj Bawana. From his spot, cops grabbed around ₹50 lakh in cash, 1.25 kg of gold, a bulletproof Scorpio vehicle, four pistols, and live cartridges. Earlier raids in Delhi-NCR and Haryana had already uncovered huge cash hauls and weapons from hideouts of the Tillu Tajpuriya gang, Neeraj Bawana-Rajesh Bawana gang, Jitendra alias Gogi gang, and Kala Jatheri gang.

With 40 teams on the ground, Delhi Police is sending a strong message against organised crime in the National Capital Region. FIRs are now filed against the accused, and more details are coming in soon. This bold move shows how seriously authorities are tackling gang activities that have plagued the area.
